Pierre Pickens

A native of Detroit, Michigan and a graduate from Eastern Michigan University, Pierre is an entrepreneur at heart having started and successfully operated several business in Alaska, Georgia and North Carolina.  As a Qualified Professional, Intensive in-home and Peer Support Specialist, Pierre has worked in various healthcare-related fields providing support services for children, adults and elders at various agencies including the North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services. He has accrued over 14 years of experience with Assisted Living Facilities and Adult Family Care Homes. In addition, Pierre works in community development, consulting in financial systems analysis, property development and flow of information analysis for the U.S. National Baha'i Center. 

Jane Helzer

Jane is a graduate of the University of Michigan with a B.A. in Afro-American/African Studies, Fine Arts, and Dance. During her Master’s program in Expressive Arts Therapy, she developed a trauma and grief healing program and is now working on a generative movement program for elders. Drawing from her experience as an early childcare specialist, she also creates safe spaces for healing and growth within family units. 

Doria Miguel

Doria has joined True Nobility’s nonprofit venture Light Under the Sun Foundation. She has a Master’s degree in Information and Library Sciences from the University of Michigan and over 20 years of experience in research and developing personalized training programs in both academic and corporate institutions. She has extensive knowledge of international higher educational systems and assisting students in navigating their individual university paths. We welcome her 13 years of international managerial experience to our team.

Leigh Anne Gubatayao

Leigh Anne is the Executive Director for Ancient Cedars. Her work includes creating safe spaces for Indigenous and People of Color by building community through indigenous traditional sacred practices with the Land, Languages, the Arts, as well as systems of justice for the well-being of families and economic prosperity. As a Peer Support and Residential Elder Care specialist certified by the state of Alaska, Leigh Anne has gained extensive experience in elder support. Her entrepreneurial spirit also led her to open and operate a licensed childcare facility for six years in the state of Michigan.

Frederick Landry

Frederick is a skilled lawyer with a focus on compliance and alternative dispute resolution. Frederick has extensive procurement and regulatory experience from working for 15 years in the federal government including a leadership role as Chief of Staff within Homeland Security. As an accomplished author and mediation specialist, Frederick has written several publications ranging from spirituality, race relations and governmental compliance.

Anya Helzer

Anya is the Executive Administrator for True Nobility Care. She attended Stephens College, receiving her Bachelor's in Science in Biology and her minor in Equestrian Studies. She was the President of the Stephens College chapter of Beta Beta Beta, the Biological Honor Society and a member of Stephens Scholars. She is passionate about research and creating safe spaces in the scientific field for Women and People of Color. 

Mykala Sanders

Mykala Sanders is a proud lifelong resident of Kansas City with a deep commitment to caregiving and community support. Her journey into elder care began when she left college to provide full-time care for her grandmother—a decision that profoundly shaped her passion for helping families navigate the complex challenges of elder support. This firsthand experience has made it her mission to assist others in finding quality accommodations and connecting with the right resources to ensure their loved ones live with dignity and joy.

Mykala brings creativity, compassion, and curiosity to everything she does. She has eight years of orchestral experience playing the ukulele and viola and has always had a strong interest in mental health, women’s healthcare—particularly within BIPOC communities—and cross-cultural studies. While in college, she began exploring Japanese language and culture, and she plans to continue that journey through Japanese studies and exchange programs as she prepares herself to pursue business coursework, with a long-term goal of launching her own stationery brand that blends artistic expression and cultural inspiration.

 Her creative talents, coupled with her lived experience and heartfelt dedication to service, make her a thoughtful and resourceful team member, especially in spaces centered on care, connection, and community empowerment.
